On Saturday, October 20th, at 10am – 2pm (or until they are all gone), at Mountain View Cemetery. Cost is $10 per pumpkin

JACKET RACKET COAT DRIVE
Do you or anyone in your household have any old or lightly used winter coats, mitts, boots, toques, or scarves that are no longer being used? Then may we suggest for you to drop them off at any one of the 14 bins that are around Chestermere at any time, located in schools, Recreation Center, and at Town Hall. This year, Chestermere Community Services would like to help families who are in need of winter clothing for this coming winter season. The clothing will be distributed October 15th, 17th, & 19th, from, 5pm- 8pm, at the old Sears store located at 110 Station Way, next door to Safeway. The town of Chestermere would like to thank Pastor Evan Dewald & his volunteers from Lake Ridge Community Church for their time spent in this event. If you any questions please contact Angela at Community Services at 403-207-7060. Any remaining clothing will be donated to “Inn from the Cold Society” in Calgary.

 Chestermere Loop Around the Lake

The 3rd Annual Loop Around Chestermere Lake will take place on Sunday September 18th 2011.The start time is 8:00 AM. The full run is 11.2 km and I am pleased to announce that again a 5km run is also an option. A children’s 1km run will again be part of the 2011 Loop Around the Lake, starting at 10:00 AM.

Chestermere  Country Fair September 16th and 17th, 2011

The Chestermere Country Fair is the oldest ongoing annual event in our community.  This event features agricultural displays and events, a red ribbon contest for baking, pickling and flower displays, wine and beer competition, art displays, a farmers' market, parade, gymkana, petting zoos, vendor displays and more.  To find out more please contact the Chestermere Regional Community Association at 403-272-7170

Chestermere Lake Levels - start Saturday April 23rd.

The WID has indicated that they will raise water levels starting on Saturday April 23rd.  Water will not enter the lake until Monday April 25th.  It is projected that the lake will be full by May 1st, 2011 at the latest.  Of course this will depend on weather and ice on the lake.  Questions can be directed to WID at 403-934-3542

Chestermere Pitch In Campaign Community Spring Clean Up Event April 18th -25th

Lakefront owner's door to door campaign starts April 1st to April 28th.  Lake Clean Up on the Sound end of the lake is April 16th pizza and refreshments will be provided by Western Irrigation District this event will take place from 10am to 2pm.

Camp Chestermere Fund Raising Event April 16th, 2011 7pm to 10pm

Prairie Waters Elementary School - Chestermere Cultural Fair April 6, 2011

Prairie Waters Elementary School will be holding the 2011 Cultural Fair on Wednseday April 6th, 2001. Families will be sharing their own cultural backgrounds through display such as artifacts, photos, music and clothing.  The displays will be open from 9:15 to 11:45 am and 1 to 2:45pm.  From 8:30 to 9:15am or from 12:30 to 1pm there will be a variety of music and dance performances in the gym.

There will be a meeting at the Chestermere Town Hall in the Main Foyer regarding the Edgewater Crossing Area Structure Plan. This area of land is just South of the lake bordering East Chestsrmere Drive down to Township road 240, over to Rainbow Road. This area is between the lake and the railroad crossing. It should be a very interesting area, now much more viable as the train seldom goes down this track any more.
