Lakeside Greens Golf Course

This was the development that really kick-started Chestermere. Before the golf course was here the only water available was well water that was less than wonderful. When the golf course was approved they brought out the water line from Calgary. When this happened property values went up about 40%. At this point all of the homes in Chestermere were required to connect to the city water lines.

Lakeside Greens opened the first showhome parade in 1991. The last homes built were built in 1998. Many homes in Lakeside Greens back onto beautiful ponds, there are many homes with spectacular mountain views. There is one small villa project in the area with the remainder of homes being single family. There is a good selection of bungalow and two storey homes, with or without walkout basements. The clubhouse offers good food, and a health club. The course is 18 holes and is semi-private.
