Centron clearing way for massive, inclusive residential project at fast-growing Chestermere

A lot of dirt is on the move at the big bend of the Trans-Canada Highway on the east side of Chestermere, as Centron Real Estate Development and Construction clears the site for its Clearwater Park residential community.
A massive undertaking, the project covers 580 acres that will host more than 3,500 homes.
A seniors campus on a centrally located 11-acre site is also included in the family-friendly mix, delivering much-needed seniors living opportunities for the Chestermere, Rocky View County and Calgary geographic areas.
Among the many amenities available for residents will be an 18,000-square-foot community clubhouse centre with a number of meeting and function facilities, community kitchen, and indoor pool and fitness facility. Outdoors is a sports court, multi-purpose ice rink, kids’ playground area, plaza for private and public outdoor events, and fire pits and gathering areas. Plans also include large water features and numerous walking paths.
Clearwater residents will also be served by a 22,000-square-foot community retail centre offering convenient services, including fuel, confectionaries, food essentials and a restaurant.
The location along the highway gives the development easy access to other amenities in Chestermere and is within a half-hour drive to Calgary’s downtown. It is also convenient by short drives to other major employment centres, such as the Balzac area with its CrossIron Mills shopping centre, Costco Wholesale, Amazon Fulfilment Centre and Walmart Canada Logistics, as well as being just over 20 minutes to the Calgary International Airport.
