Not all realtors share this opinion, so you may find homes on this list that they have classified as waterfront. Yes technically they face or back onto water, but they are not lakefront. A Chestermere waterfront home includes the land under your dock. No one can walk between your home and the water. The McKay Family has been selling waterfront homes since 1993. It makes a real difference in the amount of use you get out of your boat, whether you are on the lakefront or not. If you are lakefront you drop your boat and take off. If you are not you have to go to the public launch, wait in line to launch, park your vehicle, and then take off under the bridge to enjoy your boat. Then when you are done you have to wait in line to take your boat out, get your vehicle, and then pull it out. Lakefront homes will have an East Chestermere, West Chestermere, or Cove Road address. Lakefront homes on the Cove or East Chestermere Drive will have an uneven number and homes on West Chestermere Drive will have an even number.
Not all Chestermere waterfront home locations are equal…
- The water depth may not accommodate your boat.
- Some lots have natural sand, some have mud.
- Noise from the Highway can travel over water.

- There is a speed limit on the North end of the lake (The Cove) so you need to be able to get your boat under the bridge.
As lakefront residents for 30 years and active water-sports enthusiasts, we can help you find the location that works best for you…We know the waterfront market as Doug has sold over 78 lakefront homes and Marjorie has sold 44.
